Therapeutic Massage

While therapeutic massage is often relaxing, the end goal of the session or series of sessions is not relaxation.

People can use therapeutic massage as a standalone treatment. Some people, such as athletes, labourers or stressed out even office workers, receive regular therapeutic massage to keep themselves in good physical condition.

People of all ages can benefit from therapeutic massage.

Massage therapy may also improve your circulation, which enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscle cells and helps remove waste products or reduce swelling. These circulatory effects of massage may have value in the treatment of some inflammatory conditions, such as arthritis.

Tactile massage

Tactile massage is a Swedish massage method that consists just a soft, smooth touch ((it is not the Swedish massage!!!). It is different from other massage because during the treatment, therapist does not knead and work with the muscles, lymh- and blood vesles.

During the Tactile massage, therapist works just with skin and does not touch any deeper layers. The tactile massage can provide pain relief, relaxation and well-being by stimulating the secretion of the hormone Oxytocin .

It has been used in the care of patients with stroke, as palliative care of cancer patients, in the treatment of adolescents with anorexia nervosa and for pregnant women.

Pregnancy massage

Pregnancy massage can greatly support the natural process of pregnancy and allows the mother take a time  and focus on herself and her baby.

Carried out in side position with the use of pillows for support. It is a very safe and relaxing full body massage including head.

Main aims for massage:

lower back discomfort,
shoulder tension,
leg cramps, swelling of the ankles and feet and oedema (fluid retention)
stress and anxiety.

Indian Head Massage
